We found recently a bug in Rad Editor Out of nowhere the editor started to show an error RadControls folder was not found. Stack: Telerik.WebControls.RadEditorUtils.RadControlsDirNotFoundException: the RadControls folder was not found

Here is an answer from telerik We are aware of the issue and we posted a sticky note in the editor forums: RadControls folder not found error in RadEditor v7.1.2 about it. The bug "RadControls folder not found" is due to a modification in the RadControls\Editor\Dialogs\blank.html file, which we made XHTML compliant in v.7.1.2. However when the application runs in medium trust or there is not an internet connection then the editor throws the "RadControls folders not found" error. To fix the issue you should open the RadControls\Editor\Dialogs\blank.html and replace its content with the following tags Save the file. Please, also make sure that the blank.html file has the needed full ASPNET / NETWORK SERVICE permissions. The solution above will become part of our next minor update for the product so no other customer faces this challenge. Best regards, Rumen the Telerik team
