javascript:_dopostback not working

SCENARIO.

Win 2008 R2 IIS 7.5

Database

MS SQL 2008

Framework 2.0

I have two applications (DNNINSTANCE 2 and DNNINSTANCE4) based on DNN 4.09 running on win 2000.

We decide to migrate both applications on win 2008.

After logging in DNNINSTANCE2 all the JavaScript functions are not working.

While clicking on any links (the ones call javascript:_dopostback) the page refreshes and nothing happens.

In the bottom-left corner bar:

javascript:__doPostBack('IconBar.ascx$cmdUsers','')

javascript:__doPostBack('IconBar.ascx$cmdRoles','')

javascript:__doPostBack('IconBar.ascx$cmdAddTab','')

The same javascript functions work well on the DNNINSTANCE4.

Has any one come across such an error? Please help

I edited text field and now all portals are down - how do I fix? After editing 'terms of service', clicked on update and my complete site went down showing the following server error on all portals:

500 - Internal server error.

There is a problem with the resource you are looking for, and it cannot be displayed.

There is a file GlobalResources..Host.resx with today's date, did something go wrong with the saving crupting the file on the server? I don't have a back-up of this file, but do have a GlobalResources.resx file from 4.x Help! Thank you.

DNN somehow showing duplicated content to search bots, visible in cache

This is reaaally driving me nuts. I thought it had something to do with me changing the performance settings and setting authenticated cacheability to public from 'server and private', but that doesn't seem to be the case.

Anyway - the issue is that the search bots are crawling the portals of one of our installs and recording duplicated content for the HTML modules only, everything else is fine. You can see what I'm talking about by visiting this link or performing a site:donspainting.com command and clicking on the cache link next to the page results.

The reason I thought it might have been the auth. cacheability settings was because while I was (am) logged in, I can use the 'check as googlebot' feature in google webmaster tools to re-crawl the page, and everything comes out fine. Even for a short while after I log out, it seems to be ok.

But upon checking the sites again today while not logged in, the duplicated content reappears.

I'm open to any thoughts or suggestions, because my brain is melting. Thanks!!!!

Replace text within the portal

Hi, I need to find solution to replace text/html across the portal. I used a module form Iowa Computers before but this does not work with dnn 5.02

Any ideas about other solutions available.

DNN performance and site log

The main issue I see with the site log is this, the table is a "dual purpose" table it has indexes on the table for reporting, and it is a logging table. The issue here is that as the number of entries grows, the insertion cost grows as the indexes cause data to be re-organized.
This is why you will see growth of the table reduce performance.

Error in user directory module

I loaded the user directory from effority and now am receiving the following error:

Accessing DNN site via IP address

We have an internal DNN site up set-up and we've changed the portal alias so that we can access it by name. What we would also like to do is be able to access it by IP address. We tried putting the IP into the portalalias table but that did not work. The site itself has its own IP address so any help would be appreciated.

portal error after setting splash page

I have set the splash page for the site and now the site is down - I get the following error:

NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.]
DotNetNuke.Entities.Portals.PortalSettings.VerifyPortalTab(Int32 PortalId, Int32 TabId)...

Any ideas how to fix this
Please help
